Enforce runtime controls with Agent Hooks in Microsoft Agent Framework
Marco Casalaina uses a synthetic banking agent to show how Agent Hooks can enforce approval policies at tool-call boundaries rather than relying on prompt instructions alone.
In this demo
A banking agent is instructed to request human approval before every transfer, but prompt instructions alone do not enforce that boundary. In this short demo, Marco Casalaina introduces Agent Hooks in Microsoft Agent Framework and shows a policy checkpoint before a payment-tool call. He explains interception points across the agent lifecycle and the allow, deny, and transform decisions that controls can return. The banking scenario uses synthetic data and no real payments. Agent Hooks is currently experimental in the Python Agent Framework.
